Lake Stamford continues to have water pouring in the creek on the south end of the lake where the bridge is. Lake is 3-4 feet low now. All ramps are good to launch from including Stamford Marina and the Anchor.
I visited with Vance Proctor at Lake Stamford Marina and he is going to open the marina back up this coming weekend. He will have minnows and trotline bait and said he plans to open the cabins and campground for campers if you are interested. Stamford Marina phone is #325-773-2095.
No fishing reports to speak of, other than catfish which are biting all over the lake in the flooded vegetation. Crappie fishing is poor to fair, with fish so scattered in all the flooded vegetation they are far and few between.
At least the fishermen have water to work with now.
Lake Ft. Phantom is getting a slug of water today with the pumps running and the City is scalping water into the lake from the Clear Fork of the Brazos for the second time in the last two weeks. Water is really muddier than normal.
Good Fishing, Mud-Dabber

Good news, I hope phantom can catch more rain soon. We need new water out there, im tired of fishing the same old spots. Ive never fished Stamford. How are the bass out there?

Has a history of excellent bass fishing. Currently, there is so much new water that they are extremely scattered in all of the new vegetation. The lake needs to settle down from the extreme muddy water also but the future looks excellent. It will be interesting to see if the fish actually got off a spawn this year, considering the low water and fish kill from the golden algae earlier.

Good report! The rains have really been a blessing most, but also a curse to some. 2 months ago everybody was praying for rain, now a lot of the lakes have received too much too fast!
