Punch the hydrilla mats down by the dam with a big jig ...
Color of jig varies by the day

May call Terry at Lake Tyler Marina, I think they have a few rooms to rent there.

Ok so what happened to there not being any grass on tyler? I got completely dismantled by some guys about 3 months ago for asking if there was grass on tyler. They said there is no grass but everytime I see a post about tyler, someone is talking about "fish the grass", "punch the hydrilla mats". So I'll ask one more time, is there any grass on Tyler and if there is, then why was everyone saying a few months ago that there hasn't been grass out there for 2 or 3 years??

There is grass on Tyler, that's all I've seen there! I haven't been often, twice, but where I went we fished the grass.

I just went this past weekend. What I see was a lot of flooded vegetation. I did catch some grass but where I fished it was all flooded grass. I did not go to the Dam area to fish.

No hydrilla. There's several types of grass from the water being so high but not hydrilla.

??? There is no hydrilla mats down by the dam. There was about 5 years ago but not in a long time. There is however a lot of flooded grass all along the shores of both lakes. It has been a very long time since I have seen that much bank grass and it is growing a long ways out off the banks. There are pads on the north ends of each lake and some good brush piles off main lake points and humps. All are producing somewhat but still tough out there.

There are lots of hotels in Tyler to stay at if there are no openings at the Marina. Good Luck out there.

Probably not on Tyler. LOL More than likely off swimbaits or TX rigs

I just love to read the information on Lake Tyler. Makes me want to go 'right now' But I have been grounded or house arrest for over a month now . Had back surgery. So will be a few more months before I can get out there
Have watched all the TV and read all I can. Can not drive so I am home alone till wife gets here and can drive me around. Have cleaned out my tackle box boat and even gotten new rope for anchor. Depth Finder connections have been cleaned added some older GPS locations that I used years ago
August is my goal for back on the water. Hoping to be there throwing a swim bait. Read an watched lots about these baits Never have thrown them; but I do plan on several days of throwing nothing but that bait till I learn more about swim baits
So keep the thread on Tyler or Palestine going as all I can do is read an wonder
thanks
