I caught one just shy of 7# on memorial day. Haven't been out there since then. There is a lot of newly flooded vegetation to fish. That's where I caught the 7. Caught a couple more small ones but the fish were really scattered. Fishing was tough by the dam early in the morning but the sandbass started schooling thick over there. Fun catching them while waiting for the bass bite to turn on haha

Ok. I've lived in this area for 20 years. I've fished almost every lake in north Texas and most lakes on the Bassmaster trail. I've caught four bass and a channel cat at wax. I can can catch more than that an hour on most other lakes. That's four bass and a channel cat in 6 trips to wax.

Someone please show me how/where to catch bass on that carp overrun lake!!

Focus on the South and East sides...run the dam in the early AM and late evening. Drop shot / shaky head the north face of the island (huge drop off)....

Docks along the southern border hold fish well. Lots of grass on that side. Squarebill the 2 ramp areas. Best colors have been watermelon and cotton candy (mardi gras).

It's never been a numbers lake for me but I've always caught 4-5 minimum. Lots of short fish there.

Sounds like a plan. I always try to go find them, then get frustrated and start beating the banks. Lol.

Nice fish guys. Beats anything I've EVER caught from that place.

Where, what, and how? If ya don't mind! Pm me. I need help there. I just bought a new boat and that lake is somewhat safe, and open(haha). Just want to try that place one more time before I just say I'm cursed there and never fish it again. Lol. I'll drive past it to Clark almost 99 out of 100 times anymore.

There are 2 grass flats about 200 yds apart, fish those for a while and you'll get bit. On those flats you have a good chance of hanging up on a good fish. I always throw a belly weight fluke or senko on those flats and have good luck. Cant give my secret tournament spots away though!! Haha good luck man! Holler at me if you see me out there. Old blue ranger with a new evinrude etec. Easy to spot.

It's less than a foot high. I've had no issues launching.
