Just curious about the lake. The water level isn't too high and I assume it's open so I figured I would go check it out. Any info would be appreciated!

Fished a tourney there last month. The lake is like a mini cypress springs. Has docks some brush on the shore, thanks to all the rain and a lot of grass and reeds in 2 arms. Try to go under the bridge. There is some good fishing over there. I have alwys done well on a chartruese and black norman fatboy around the edges of the grass and points. Flip and pitch the weed line. Caught my biggest bass, 8-14 pitching a baby brushhog in the reeds a couple of years ago.

rip rap on dam worked well for me. throwing shallow and medium crank baits in dark colors. water is usually pretty stained, and probably more so with all this rain? good luck.
