My son and I found this beauty on craigslist in east texas for 500 bucks, the guy said its been under the carport needed a little fiberglass work But the motor ran. So we show up dry rotted tires, I did bring a spare should have brought two for the 3 hour drive home. floor had carpet felt soft and transom sounded hollow also.
he wouldnt budge off of 500 so we did the deal.Hell 1978 title for boat and motor is RARE. So we prayed the whole way home to not have a blow out.
could not believe the motor did not end up skipping down 20 cause the transom was gone>>>>>>>>
this was a budget build not for a boat show, just to get slimed up and safe and reliable.

Looks like it's ready for some slime!

Have you had it on the water yet?

Well done, I know that was some hard work but it turned out great, that's gonna be a nice comfortable cat rig.

East Texas can be a Craigslist goldmine if you are resourceful.
