What's your strategy for fishing flooded vegetation from the bank without getting hung up? During the drough, everything from small trees to loco weeds sprouted up along the shoreline of my favorite catfish lake. Since I don't have a boat, I'm either faced with casting way out, or fishing smack dab in the middle of all this greenery. I see many dollars worth of lost tackle in my future if I can't come up with a plan.

Float
Good hook that can hold bait
Punch bait
Pvc pipe Rod holders to keep rods high and dry
And dont check bait so frequently
That's when you will get hung up.
