With the lake 17ft over normal pool, I would try to get bait where they are letting the water out of the lake. At the Dam. I hear you can catch some at the boat ramps when the lake is at normal pool in early mornings.

From a boat or from the bank?

Ramps, I believe, are still closed. But its about like any other lake. Shallow coves or lighted boat docks early.

Thanks for the info guys, with all the ramps closed and the abnormal amount of water we have I was asking more of where they generally are. I have a boat but the dang thing is so slow, I can't spend all day chasing bait around. Honestly I would rather find a place to catch them before I even launch the boat, but I'm sure we all have that fantasy!

What kind of boat do you have?

Close to ramps and beaches. I know some other spots but boat is better.
