I don't own one, but I will tell you this, there's no happier or more loyal owner than a cat owner. They are special.

It is the best bass boat I have ever owned...previously had a Triton nothing bad to say about the Triton but the Basscat is for my purposes much better. I really like the support you get from your Dealer and Bass Cat factory....you can go online and order any part for your boat (motor excluded) and they ship it to you quickly...and it is all priced fairly for the quality. Bass Cat seems to be very interested in customer service and producing a quality product. The ride I get in my 2008 Puma is great, handles rough water without punishing the rider and keeps you dry. It is a very fast boat as well, that was not as important to me, since I dont care so much about how fast I can go, but it is like the difference in a driving a performance car versus a passenger car...it turns fast, gets on plane quick, and can get you their fast if you need it. It is a great fishing platform as well, I like how the front seat position is closer to the bow, and they have made recessed areas for the trolling motor pedal and your graphs..you also get great information and support on the Bass Cat Owners board...check it out at Basscat.com. And they seem to be built to last...

I'm on my third BassCat. Started with a 1993 PII with a 200 Merc. EFI, next was a 2005 Cougar FTD w/ 225 Merc. Pro XS and this past fall I sold the 2005 Cougar and bought a 2012 Cougar FTD w/250 Merc. Pro XS. Great fit and finish, solid ride great in rough water. Customer service is the best. Local dealer Dallas area (Rockwall Marine) are a great group of people.

Highly recommend BassCat.
