I stand corrected. My source is several hours old. I saw another source from the Tarrant Water District also showing 8 foot plus over full.
Remember Fisherman's Paradise? Spent many a day there in the way past.

Arlington does not have a spillway that they can open or close. When the lake is over full the water runs out of a "morning glory" type of spillway at the dam.

As kids my brothers and sister and I swam at Womacks, near the old silo. My dad kept several lots leased at Homer's. Now this was when the lake didn't have the trash influence it does now. As crazy teenagers my friends and I would grass surf the north face of the dam near the LAKE ARLINGTON letter display.
Yes It does put a date to ya.

Do they not have regular flood gates on a dam? I thought the morning glory spillway would be in addition to the normal dam gates?
