Took the young one out to catch some catfish this afternoon. We caught a lot and kept 17 mix of blues and channels. I finally found a spot that actually had catfish on it so I was able to give stubby's bait a fair chance. The first one I caught on it swallowed the treble hook so I tied on a 4/0 circle hook instead. Wind in my face rough as hell with dough bait on a circle hook no weight and I could still get several casts out of the bait I only had to put more on because I missed a bite. The circle hooks worked great when the fish was big enough to fit it in their mouth. Caught Blue and Channels on it also caught some on worms and one on cut bait. The bank was muddy and there is a drop off right in front of us so the waves were crashing and splashing us and we were walking in mud the whole time.
