Due to the Lake being muddy I decided to go take the kayak around Neely Slough and check it out. The water is starting to clear up some due to all the rainwater pouring in.  I didn't fish this time but saw lots of nice size largemouth in the shallows after shad schools and perch. Water falls seem to be everywhere.  A side benefit to the five inch rain we had is kayaking down normally dry arroyo's. My dog abandoned me and all the fun after we flipped over on the next run.  Got to make use of all this rain.  It was really hard dragging the kayak upstream in all that flow.

Down by the Dam. We got another 5 inches of rain last night. That's 10 inches of rain in three days for a place that normally only sees 20 inches a year! Right now off my balcony I can actually see the CURRENT pushing muddy water deep into he slough.
This is a historic flood.
