Can anyone direct me to a good sand bass area on Toledo Bend ?
We are there for the next 5 days and want to do a fish fry and prefer to do sand bass instead of other bass.
We are staying at Holly park in the Patroon Cove area.

Call the local marina close to your lodging. Ask any good BB fisherman, find the birds. Post in the BB section.

Down by the damn is usually pretty good. They have an artificial reef by the LA game warden stating that holds some sandies. Also right off of the boat lane that runs east and west from the damn to Indian Creek holds some there at the head of the cove.

By-the-way: there are some pretty good sand bass in Toledo Bend. Even up mid-north part of the lake.
Caught enough to have a real good fish fry last Saturday night with the family.
Just have to be on the right main lake point when they start chasing the shad.
Pretty good BB under those schools as well.
