Madfisher and I decided to hit what has come to be one of my favorite spots now. We fished through the sprinkles and took cover during the heavy stuff. Madfisher finally slimed his kayak today!!!
He caught 2 a day I ended up with 4.

I wish I was brave enough to go out. I checked the forecast and saw thunderstorms all day - not the sun is beating in my window. I love Texas Meteorologists...world's worst guessing game contestants.

I went out today but fished from the bank close to my Jeep so when the storms moved in I made a quick dash to wait them out.
I saw a lot of people out on the lake in boat and jet ski's even during the heavy downpours. And yes there was thunder and lightning.
I guess those folks forgot about the guy that was struck and killed out there a few years back.
Just not worth pressing your luck!

We got out there pretty early to beat the thunderstorms. We got rained on but we didn't hear any thunder until after 12 (noon). That's when we called it and just in time too.
