 Port mansfield jetties/land cut/east cut/ north padre island jetties

So I'm planing a trip to the jetties past beach access point 5/6 on south padre island. Does anyone have tips or advice for me I'm targeting the usual inshore species and maybe jump a 'pon if i have a chance. Looking at google map i was considering going to the sandy portion on the west side of the jetties. Any advice is much appreciated.

Figured I'd give a report for those who were interested. We had a good time catching reds and sheepshead right off rocks channel side. Beach driving conditions were great and it wasn't too crowded.

Cool! I have not been down there in a long time! I might have to make a trip down there this weekend if I'm not booked and take the inflatable and run some shark lines.
