My son and I were fishing for catfish yesterday with minimal luck. He baited his #4 treble hook with Danny Kings blood bait and cast out, letting it come to rest on the bottom about 20' off the bank. About 15 seconds later I saw him set the hook, and amazingly reeled in a 6" bream. Anyone else been catching bream on stink bait? Thought it was interesting.

Every now and then you can catch Sunfish on "stink bait". I have also heard em being caught on numerous other types of baits. If they are hungry they will bite on just about anything.



Side Note: If he had some worms he could have possibly caught a few more!

I caught a small bream on a buzz bait Saturday will bass fishing. The buzz bait was bigger than the bream.

Have caught bluegills on chicken liver before, trying to entice channel cats to bite. If I had known then what I know now, I'd have left the bluegill on the hook and maybe caught me a big blue! Ah well, . . .

I have caught em on stink bait before while fishing for cats. I use all artificial baits while fishing for Bluegill. I have had em hit a bait much bigger than themselves numerous times while fishing for bass. They are super aggressive fish especially the smaller ones.

I have heard em being caught on brown shoe strings!
