Just finished a limited run of holographic gizzard shad. The blanks are holographic 1.5 DDRT & RT models.
Paints used are Createx Airbrush and Wicked colors. Finished with clear gloss but not yet sealed in a clear coat. Eyes are soft plastic in 5.5 - 6 mm. Observations, suggestions, constructive criticism, or just your personal preferences and opinions regarding this pattern are appreciated.thumb

Coloration: Dorsal region black-blue-green with black kill spot and 6-8 small darker horizontal spots; lateral region copper to brown over holographic foil; anterior end orange to burnt orange; ventral region silver-white abdomen; operculum holographic foil with grey upper edge & red lower edge.

Very nice. I just don't believe any other cranks will out catch those.

Absolutely amazing bois, the light shading with the purple and copper are outstanding. If they won't bite that you might aswell go home. That is probably my favorite schedule that has been posted here ever. Those things should be selling for 15 bucks plus!

Did you buy the holographic blanks or foil them yourself? Iexpect a video tutorial or I will stop posting pics of my failed attempts.

Plus 1

Think I'm just going to retire from painting now, I sure see alot of frustration coming trying to compete with this.

Exceptional!
3/4 oz and 1oz lipless rattling lures would be awesome in this pattern, also (along with jerkbaits, just about anything)

Thanks for all the compliments on this pattern. I need to fish it a while and see how it goes before I add the "Holographic Gizard Shad" paint schedule to the books. Can't remember where I got the blanks...but they were taped/foiled when I bought them. One of these days I've gotta' figure that foiling lures thing out!noidea

Keep posting your stuff guys....thumb
