Quickly turned into a LIMITAnd to think I almost left without a rod I figured that I should test the new TM in fishing conditions, so I grabbed 2 rods before Belinda toted me to the ramp. The 1st spot I stopped at didn't show many fish, but I really didn't care as I wanted to get familiar with running the trolling motor. After running thru the different functions of the controls on the TM, I eased to the top of a submerged tree top, dropped a Mr. Fry in Black Emerald Shiner down 12', instantly and to my surprise THUMPI caught a couple of 10-11" fish which I threw back and lost a couple. My back was hurting, so when it's like that, I've learned to not set the hook, just reel. I lose about 30% of the fish, but I get to fish longer. I idled over to a huge laydown in 24 fow, eased to the upwind side, set the "Spot Lock" on my trolling motor and commenced to piercing some lips! When I looked in the livewell, I realized I better start keeping count, I broke out my bead counter from Jigum's Enterprizes and got the tally correct. I wanted to check some other spots, so I motored up and took off on a short ride to another spot. It's a small bp in 15 fow right on the edge of the creek channel. It was LOADED! In no time at all, I had slid all 25 of my beads to the bottom. I called Belinda and asked her to meet me at the ramp, "I have a limit" She said, "NO way - Already???" I lost quite a few very nice fish, but Hey, they will be there another day!

With all these limits, you must live on crappie alone. WOW, great "test" run.

With all these limits, you must live on crappie alone. WOW, great "test" run. We have a few fish frys each year & I give some away. I bag them in 10 filets to a bag, enough for me & Belinda then a couple of fish sandwiches the next day. I just filled the freezer, so I'm through keeping fish for now.

Hey Todd! I have to take my hat off to you! Anyone can catch fish when they are biting but only a true fisherman can catch them when one else can!

Sounds like you had a win/win WTG!
