I fished Kurth Lake this past weekend. Beautiful lake to fish on. We went out on Saturday afternoon after the "zoo" of people begin to leave. It can get crowded out there real quick on a Saturday morning. The water was a little higher than usual and the fish were too. Caught them on a frog all afternoon. Caught quite a few fish but nothing over 5 lbs. Well actually I hooked into a 11' gator for about 2 minuets till he decided he would open his mouth and give me my frog back. That was fun. You can see a picture of him beginning to eat the frog in the last picture. The 3rd picture was a little 4' fella that let us get pretty close. The larger gators usually don't let us get very close. If you plan on going out there soon, better take the OFF. The bugs will be getting bad pretty soon on a calm day.

What kind of braid holds up to a gator? I need to buy stock in that braid.

That was 65# PP.
He just grabbed ahold of it and didn't let go for about 2 minuets. I never got a hook in him. As soon as he opened his mouth the frog came right out. I moved him all of about 10 feet in the water before he opened lol He wasn't going anywhere.
Now the little gator.... I have no doubt that the 65# braid could done anything I wanted to with him if he would have tried to eat the frog.

Cool pictures! Side Note: Good thing you did not set the hook!

Awesome pics! What is the water clarity like? 5-6'+ visibility in some places. I was out there 3 weeks ago and it was even more clear then. Three weeks ago I could see 8-10' This was only my 2nd time out there. Ill be going back many times over the next few weeks for sure. Awesome little lake.
