I have been doing crappie fishing in the past but have recently started bass fishing lately and got addicted to it.
Sadly While I was on the water last Sat fishing with spinnerbait, I sunk my only set of baitcast rod and reel to the lake. I'm currently looking for a set of rod and reel, should I get medium heavy or heavy action rod for fishing with spinnerbait? Which one is more versatile?

Thanks

Medium heavy rod is a great all around rod that you can use for multiple applications. fish

You can get a great MH bait casting combo at Academy on sale if you check at the right times. That's all I fished when I picked bass fishing back up a few years ago and I got an Abu Garcia Blue Max combo for $60 or something. Look at things like that and you can't get a decent setup cheap for what you're looking to do.

MH is a good all around rod, and a 6.3:1 reel is a good all around reel.

Ideal one for me would be a medium heavy with a softer tip than most medium heavy... So med heavy back bone and like a moderate tip

7' MH is my go to and with 65# braid. Why? Because I love my spinnerbaits and you can't judge me! Haha

I like a 7' M for anything under about 3/8oz and a 7' MH over 3/8oz.

Both.

MH for normal spinner bait use and a H for ripping spinners through grass.
