I DO LIKE THAT ONE ITS ON BACKORDER. WHAT I MAY DO IS ORDER THE OTHER, WHEN IT SHIPS TO STORE TRADE IT IN FOR THAT ONE...I AM 6'5 300LBS AND PRIMARILY BASS FISHING OR HYBRID AND CRAPPIE SO I WONT REALLY CARRY ALOT OF TACKLE WITH ME MAYBE LATER AD A FISH FINDER ON A CHEAP SCALE WHO KNOWS THOUGH!!

You are a pretty big guy. That FS10 has a max weight capacity of 325. Don't even think about it.

For a SINK that looks pretty good but I would still suggest an SOT for fishing.

Maximum weight capacity: 325 lbs. You need a yak with at least a 450 lb weight capacity. Safety first.

That FS10 will feel like a pair of shoes 2 sizes too small.

Definitely listen to these guys on the weight capacity point. If your a short scrawny turd like me you can get a little 10ft kayak with a capacity of 325 and be fine but I'd go with something else just to be safe. Not that thats not a good kayak though I was looking at the FS10 when I was shopping, I like the seat! But I'm also really glad I went with a sit on top with scuppers its nice that the water drains out and doesn't stay in the kayak with me as I have been in some rough water and had no worries when taking water over the front.

Should have stopped by the store in Grapevine this past weekend I had 6 FS10's and 7 FS12T's in stock, sold all 7 of the FS12T's and only have 3 FS10's left I agree with the other posters, the FS10 & the FS12T are the same price! Go with the FS12T a sit on top yak is much safer that a SI yak....

Yea you definitely don't want to push weight capacity. The closer you get to that number the more unstable she becomes. You should see who near you offers demo days to get a first hand feel on what you like/dislike.

I was gonna suggest it would be a good yak for starting off until I saw your size. I fished out of an Fs10 (still do occasionally) for almost 3 years with no issues and I tend to take a lot of gear with me too. But Im 6'3" 245. It was always still very stable and very comfortable for me to fish out of. Its actually the kayak I used in the Backwoods tourney since its so light and easy to portage its my go to River yak. But I think you are a bit too big for it im afraid. I think they make a 12' version of the same yak though if Im not mistaken that should suit you better?

You definitely need a bigger yak than the FS-10.
I agree with above comments that you need around 450+lbs capacity.
Use the 2/3 rule. Your weight+everything you plan on ever taking with you should only equal 2/3 of the weight capacity of the kayak.
I understand the desire to buy NOW and on sale but strongly recommend you attend a demo day at one of the kayak dealers.

I am definitely going bigger more than likely a 12 bass pro wanted to to my credit for their 6 pay plan so there goes that idea. I have been to a demo but all the high priced yaks or all yaks out of any price range I'll ever be able to afford are at those so it will have to be a trial and error type of deal looks like. Thanks guys for all the input truly appreciated hopefully I can find someone that'll do a trade with me for an inexpensive yak. We shall see

If you are on a budget, buy used. No reason not to. it's just plastic. As long as it wasn't abused, there's not a lot that can go wrong. Plus, a used yak is usually pre rigged, so you get all that stuff too.
