Since coming home from the military my buddy and myself have been discussing learning how to gig for flounder. Neither one of us have done it. We are looking for someone to teach us the way. We do not have a boat so we will have to walk to do this. Looking for anyone willing to take the time to teach us and show us the way. We are not looking for anyone's honey hole. We will be looking to gig around Matagorda, Palacios, Port O'Connor. But open to travel if need be. Any good Samaritans willing to take there time out would greatly be appropriated.

wish I could help. But I'm down in South Padre Island. Best bet is trial and error. Go out on a calm night and start walking sand flats. When I was growing up, we used lanterns, nowadays they make all sorts of fancy lights. I use headlamps I buy cheap at walmart. They work ok. my kids have no problems using them to find flounder.
