Fished this weekend at Fork with my little fishing buddy Andrew (8) and we had some luck on swim jigs in the grass after getting a good tip from a friend.

While at dinner with some friends at Tiffany's Sunday night, we see a group of guys and most have "Army Bass Anglers" shirts on. One of the guys has a red visor and faded red shirt. He was a skinny fellow with a pronounced beard. Everyone at our tables were convinced he was Ike. My son has seen Ike on TV a few times and wanted to get his autograph. We jumped up as he was leaving and I caught him at the counter on his way out and told him my son was a fan and had seen him on TV. He leaned down and really sounded excited to see a young fan. He said "what is your name?" and Andrew told him. He said "My name is Brian, did you catch any fish today?" Andrew said a few and he then proceeded to tell us some tips where we could go and catch a boatload of sand bass on spoons on humps north of the 515.

So, either we had the wrong guy, Ike didn't remember his own name, or Ike was playing a little joke on us. Regardless of the case (I am pretty sure it was option 1), we met the nicest guy named Brian at Tiffany's on Sunday night. Andrew never knew the difference, but I didn't have the courage to ask Brian for his autograph!

I have spent the past 50 years spitting in their mouths...increasing the size of Texas fish with every spit!

Ike was staying at the Camp Ground at LFM. You could have went back just passed the ramp and he would have been there.
