Took the boat out to my local lake this morning to do a little fishing before the storms. Started at the dam and about 5 minutes into lmb fishing the sandbass started schooling behind me. Tied on a slab and went to work. Chased them all the way up the dam and when it was all said and done I had boated about 40. Unfortunately they were all shorts but it was still fun to catch them. After the action died down I went back to lmb fishing and ended up only catching 2 lmb in the next 2 hours I was there but one of them was a decent fish. Caught it in the newly flooded vegetation in less that 3 feet of water. Not too bad of a day. I was fishing alone so had to ask some people fishing close by to snap a couple pics for me so that's why I'm in the water haha 7 ounces shy of my personal best.

Actually I almost did but later in the day. The wind picked up pretty fast while I was out there and it was a sketchy ride back to the boat ramp lol
