Fished from 7:30-12:30. Caught 8 between 1 and 4 lbs. Wàter 78-80 degrees slightly muddy to stained. Early bite was on char/ white chatterbaits on the backside of grasslines. Later found fish in 4-7 ft fishing standing timber/stumps on motoroil or Tequilla sunrise. Couldn't get a bite on dark plastics. Learned early the fish were short striking so we had to be patient before setting the hook. Took a couple of torn off tails to figure that out. Good luck to all and God Bless all of out service men and women.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways with a fishing rod in one hand, 10# LMB in the other, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and yelling "Wow! What a Ride!
