Ivie and Hubbard Creek look like they are both going to get significant rain today. There is heavy rain between San Angelo and Ivie...as well as heavy rain that is still west of San Angelo...so I don't see how there can be a reason for the Concho that feeds Ivie to miss out this time.

The system is just starting to move over Hubbard Creek and it should rain there for a few more hours.

If those two lakes don't improve with today's gullywasher I don't know how there is any hope for them.

The system is moving fast. I'm sitting here at the lake house and it is mostly high winds. Passed through Albany in about 30 minutes. Hopefully there is more to follow.
Winds are real bad, probably 60 mph sustained.

Like Mike said, system is moving too fast to help much, but I reckon it'll help a little.

Just got off the water... eating in Ballinger deciding if we are going back. Lake got nearly as bad as I've seen it... glad we were on the north end Already.

According to the USGS site it's 1507.14. Yesterday at the same time it was 1507.11, so the lake has only come up .03 foot, or less than half an inch, in 24 hours.

The other issue is just the size of Ivie. It takes a massive amount of water to raise the lake level a foot. I doubt it comes up more than a foot from todays rain. For it to really have an effect rain needs to sit in one spot for a day or so to really get that water flowing to Ivie.

Tony,

Was out there on Sunday as well from about 2-630. Didn't catch a single fish. It was my first time on the lake so I had nothing to go off of. If you don't mind me asking, what produced fish for you on Sunday?
