thinking about getting a 899 si and wanting to know if you can move the readout on the left side if the screen. seems like wasted screen if you can't. any advice is appreciated .

No, you cannot move or resize any of the readout boxes.

You can turn some of them off and you can remove the entire left side readouts in the full screen SI view ONLY in the Sonar main menu SI READOUTS---OFF. That will give you depth and temp overlayed on the bottom left of the view.
