I bought a pair of the newer S11 glasses from academy about a month ago and wore them 2 days and already have two bad scratches on the lens. Has anyone else had a problem with the lense scratching so dang easy. Ive had a pair of costas for 2 years and don't have a single scratch on them, so I take care of my shades. I also have a older pair of the S11 that has a different lense, for low light conditions and like them, Just wondering where I can find the older S11 shades at that don't have the dark line threw the middle, kinda messes with my eyes.

Some Wmarts still have some of the old S11s on the shelves in the fishing section.
If they have some of the Mustad Hank Parker polarized sunglasses, take a look at those also (great for the price--usually around $20)

yes mine scratched easy as well.......my costas are still looking good 4+ years old glass lenses........you cannot dry clean the s11 glasses i have like 5 pairs of them toledos and caddos

I have the Toledo one too that's the older style with low light lens. Do u have problem with scratches on older s11s

You get what you pay for when it comes to sunglasses. I only have one set of eyes so I choose to buy the best I can afford.

Lmao, yea, they would make some good 580g crankbaits, I just always heard good things about the S11's and hate the newer style lenses.

I know what the price diff is and I've had alot of cheap twenty dollar shades that didn't scratch as easy as the s11 did. Just suprised because I've heard so many good things about how good they are. Lesson learned.

The plastic nose pieces come off mine , I buy a pair a year
