Had a good day on the Houston river in Lake Charles, La. yesterday. I work in Lake Charles and fish the Calcasieu, Houston and Sabine river when I am down here. I used the bottom technique some of you guys explained to me a couple of weeks ago with Gulp earth worms and caught about 20 what I call bream. I think some of them where redear and some I did not recognize, so therefore bream. Caught a few on slip sinker with jig head and crappie nibbles. I would post some pics, but haven't learned how yet.
I mostly wanted to say thank you to the guys that answered my earlier post and took the time to explain the technique to me and tell you it works. (But you already knew that.) I will be using it on the lakes at home when I get back to east Texas.

Glad you caught some fish. A lot of rivers in Texas are at flood stage. Also you are right on. The anglers in this section are the best and always eager to help!
