My power pole stuck in the down position yesterday. Something inside of it is obviously broken, I was finally able to get it up but have to tie it off to the back seat pedestal to keep it from falling over. So I'm running around looking like a real redneck right now.

I'm wondering if anyone knows a good place in DFW to take it to? I know the guys out here at Fork would do a good job but I'm headed home this evening and don't know when I will be back out here. So I will look when I get home but if anyone has a good recommendation,
I would appreciate it.

you should have taken it to the power pole service trailer at fork. I think he was over at oak ridge. could be wrong. They follow FLW and BASS around. And you don't have to be fishing the TTBC to have them fix it.They are great people and adjust mine every time I go by. I saw Parnell from Mercury at oak ridge and power pole is usually close by.

It wouldn't come up from the anchor position. I idled back to the ramp, got in the water and it will come up easily by hand but won't stay up, so it wants to fall back over, I tied it off to my back seat pedestal just to hold it up until I get it somewhere. There is a bolt missing at the bottom of the pole, so I don't know if that bolt holds it in place or what. I didn't really notice that until I got home yesterday.

I bet the bolt is the lower mounting hole for the hydraulic piston. When you cycle the pump can you see the piston working?

I think so, I can hear it trying to do something, I haven't looked it at that hard yet. The guys at JJ Marine told me awhile back that I need to have the bushings replaced or it was going to need a kit installed sometime this summer. So I think its all related to that but I'm not sure

I was out a couple of days ago and deployed my poles all the way down, but water was a bit too deep to anchor. When I tried to raise them, my port side pole would not come up. Both pumps were working, but no movement on the port side. Eventually, after scratching my head trying to figure out why it wouldn't raise, I put the boat in idle and moved forward a bit. I felt the pole hit something and was able to raise it up. I guess it needed a nudge to come back up, but now I'm wondering why in the heck it wouldn't come up. It's a bad feeling being a long way from the ramp with a pole stuck in the "all the way down" position.
