Around 30 feet in 30 hours -- that's impressive.

Saw where Gilham in Arkansas (cossatot river for you kayakers) was up like 49 feet a few days ago . . . Over conservation pool.

I stopped by Red Cove yesterday and the was a steady stream of people stopping by to see the lake fill up. The boat ramp is open today and the grill will be open in two weeks. I can't wait to drop the boat in the water.

Current Cylinder Index is 42.

We need to give thanks for the rains, and as banker said we should also pray that those who manage our water would be more in tune on managing it correctly now that we are getting the rain.

May seem like water is being released, but Medina loses a LOT of water to seepage. The lake feeds wells and springs for miles in the country south of the lake that dry up when the lake levels dip to certain points.. gonna take some time and/or a steady flow from the river to get to a point where the lake will maintain level. it will help if the Edwards Aquifer will fill to the point that the springs up river will keep the flow going at a steady pace for a while.
