My three lakes (Grapevine, LL, & RR) are either closed or close to it with just 1 or 2 ramps marginally open. I could scramble and trailer the boat to a few of the lakes still open (Hubbard, Tawakoni, or Cedar Creek). I have decided to just wait until my lakes stabilize and park the boat for the duration. That could be a month or maybe two. I think I can handle it. My wife is recovering from a fractured arm and she keeps me busy granting her every wish. There are a few projects around the house that have needed attention that can be resolved. Anyway, have fun getting on the water and possibly landing a few fish. See you out here when conditions are back to normal.

With all of this rain and storms we have be having, and more to follow that is not a bad idea. Also a good time to reorganize the tackle room!

Tawakoni is fishing really good right now. No sense staying home unless you really want to. Water looks like Hot chocolate with not enough cream in it but the fish are really biting.

Fish? well yes I need to go. I try to go several trips a week if possible with friends and really enjoy the company and just being out, I do not do well house bound. We fish year round in most all weather and I love it. As long as I still have my health I plan to push it to the limit and do so. I would be there right now if it was not for the forecast of bad storms. I try to help anyone I can as so many have helped me.

It's been 3 weeks and I'm going through withdrawals!
Enjoy the time off and take care of your wife. The fish will be waiting for your return!

With as much water as we have & the lake levels rising, I figure that I can cast a line from my front door into the street and catch sandies swimming upstreet ... er, upstream.

I fished Ben Brook last Sunday. Water was at the top of the ramp. Son-in Law fished Monday afternoon and water was down a little. We decided to have a little family get together yesterday and went to Ben brook to fish. Water was half way up in the parking lot and you could not see the ramp. Took the boat home and went up to EM and tried to see if we could on it. Looked like you could, but with all the rain today, probably not.
