With all of this rain and moisture we have been having this year the insect's will be thriving. Got to always be careful in Texas while in the outdoors.

I used to find them under skimmer lids when I cleaned pools. Mainly in the Prosper area with new construction and abundance of bugs that were attracted to the water Just something to think about next time you swim haha

I used to find them under skimmer lids when I cleaned pools. Mainly in the Prosper area with new construction and abundance of bugs that were attracted to the water Just something to think about next time you swim haha The majority that we have come across are either in the skimmers or under the rock around the edge of the pool. Its funny I grew up in Keller, lived in Grapevine, live in Lewisville together for 32 years. Never saw a single black widow. My parents buy a house in Double Oak(10 minute drive) from my old house and we find a black widow every weekend it seems. Its just crazy how 15 miles can make a difference in what nature is around. My house in is Highland Village and we have a ton of the long leg spiders. Not daddy long legs, but these spiders with legs about an inch to two inches long and the body is only about 1/4 inch. Ive never seen them before anywhere else I lived.
