With all the flooding, any suggestions on where to put a kayak in, in the little elm area.
My main concern is finding somewhere to park the jeep/trailer.
I want to explore some of the newely flooded lake.
If anyone wants to come out, send me a PM !

i wouldn't mind going on Sunday as well, weather permitting. If you dont mind a novice tagging along :P
I don't really like the taste of catfish, so any of those i catch are yours
It's strange to see the lake in places where i have sat down and had lunch ...

I am finishing up my trailer tomorrow morning, and I just checked the forecast - doesn't look promising for Saturday. I'm brand new at the whole kayak thing, so my maiden voyage trip I was looking at LLELA or the ponds on Hebron Parkway that have a boat ramp.

I was pretty excited to get out, but looks like tomorrow will be adding to the flood.

Christian's idea sounds good, to chase cats above 380 above Paloma. However once the rains come that creek flows pretty good, i.e.:

One problem with that spot is that there can be vandalism, i.e. I got my tires slashed once and I know of two other cars. That was a few years back though. That spot can also get rather muddy. Last time I was out there a few months back I watched some guys take a few hours getting their truck back up the hill.

Today I'll probably part at Crescent Oaks ramp area and paddle around before it rains since it is just down the street from my house. Right now there are a lot of side of the road type spots that are easy to launch from due to the high water.
