I have been seeing a lot of ads with hours and people wanting to know hours on units. Other then the obvious reason of knowing how much there used is there a reason and should one be afraid of units with a lot of hours and what's a lot of hours Thanks for the info

Not in my opinion. Electronics get more damage from the heating and cooling of the components when you turn on and shut off more than just turning them on and letting them run. I fish for 8-10 hours at a time and turn them on when I get in the water and off when I leave. I've seen units over 10 years old still going strong. Have had other units not more than 2 years old that fail. Hours didn't appear to play a part in those.

I wouldn't worry about hours: just make sure the screen doesn't have bubbles forming around the edges of the screen.
