So pumped!!!! Can't wait until October. Got a trip booked through Amistad a expeditions to take a trip to the Devils river. Ever since I found out about its existence from the forum Ive wanted to go. we are only doing a same day drop and pick trip. We are putting in at big Satan and being picked up at big Satan as well. We also have a trip booked with pro angler Kurt Dove at Amistad the day before the river trip.
Any tips for a newbie to the Devils river?

I've got some friends that are going on one in August, trip of a lifetime
You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

1. Get yourself some decent wading boots. 2. Concentrate on obvious deeper holes in otherwise narrow, shallower areas as approsed to the big lakes. 3. Large deep water boulders are you friend. 4. Finesse worms and small spinnerbaits are hard to beat. 5. Bigger largemouths in the thick shoreline grass (punch through or grass frog).
Hope this helps
