I went fishing this morning.
All facilities at the lake is closed.
You can only go camping until further notice when the water goes down.
No swimming, no fishing, no hiking, no jogging, no biking, no nothing.
The lake is a stones throw from the house and now I have to drive to another lake to fish.
Hey, the fishing is great from the bank in a flooded lake.
Big bass feed in the shallows.

What about Lake Arlington ?have you tried there or do you think it`s closed also?

Lloyd Park ramp is OPEN at Joe Pool for now. I just called and talked to lady working the front gate.
Lynn Creek Park is closed. Not sure about the Cedar Hill State Park side.

The Cedar Hill State Park is where I went that was closed.
If Lynn Creek is also closed I wonder about Briton Park.
I will check out the other parts of the lake Sunday.

Yea they hosted a tourney lastnight out of loyd park.

Lynn creek is closed and pretty flooded. Lloyd park is open. Went this morning and no problems launching. No really good place to beach the boat if you are alone so I just beached it on the ramp. There were people fishing from the banks at Lloyd park also.

Arlington is open also. They are pumping water from it so it shouldn't close.

As far as fishing from the bank out there, here is what I saw floating today in a shallow cove. Been seeing a lot lately but this is the biggest

Briton Park is locked down! CLOSED and mountain Creek @ fm661 is out of it`s bank! The area underneath the Gifco Rd. bridge has more h2o in it than I`ve seen in years.

Got in from Joe Pool lake today,i could stand on the front deck and touch the bottom of the bridge....never thought i would be able to do that..... crappie were doing great in 18-22ft. and one green trash fish 7.98 on the scale. My handtied jigs and bass-assain's.

Were you fishing the bridge for crappie? I didn't have any luck with bass today and might go try some crappie tomorrow
