Demo the Tarpon 100 want to use as a buddy boat and use for quick trips. Not the fastest boat compared to the other Tarpons, but the weight and length of this yak will make loading and portaging to remote areas very appealing. Not going to be standing of course but not a priority with this yak. Ride 115 would be nice, but the weight of that yak is concerning for my use. Plan on using the T100 for marshes, small rivers, tidal creeks and ponds. I know the 10' kayaks are not ideal for those long paddles but typically will be covering distances less than 5 miles.
Anyone that have 10' kayaks or the T100 comment on distances they have paddled during a day of fishing. How does it handle in windy conditions? How does it perform in choppy water?
I am 5'9 and 190, so well within weight capacity in addition to gear.

Any info would be much appreciated.

My wife has one, and I use it as a buddy kayak. We love it. My 250 lb cousin has had it out on texoma and lavon with no issues.

Before you was to buy a new one if that's what you think you want ? I may have a tarpon 120 and a 100 up for sale Saturday afternoon! They are 2015 models that I have put all the upgrades on plus good paddles! I want take to much of a beating on theme but would make a good deal compared to new ones ready to go fish! They are a exhalent boat! I'm 260 and 5'11" We are wanting to take the big plunge and buy the Hobie's

Any way good luck with your decision!
