Looks like there won't be any ramps. Dang shame to see that park go away.

How typical. A politician who takes public land in order to increase taxes.... How do these people get elected?

The developer stated that there would be ramps available to the public. We will see what happens.

Park has been closed to public since Friday. West ramp blocked off with barricades. Only access is to east ramp and marina. Land is deemed private property now. Road around park was closed because of liability. Leave it to the city of rowlett to screw it up for the sake of a select few and ruin it for hundreds who use the park year round.

It was going to happen anyway. The city of Dallas already de-parked the land so they could use the money for parks their citizens actually use. They were going to sell it off for development and were looking for a buyer. You can blame the city of Dallas if you feel the need to blame anyone. This is the best of all possible scenarios. The development done there will be very nice, as opposed to what would have happened if it was left in Dallas' jurisdiction.

Part of the deal with the city of Dallas requires at least one public boat ramp to remain open.

We've still got Paul Jones ramp across I-30 from BPS. Think it's usually good for 5-6 feet of lake level drop.

If using the ramp at John Paul Jones park, do not use the middle. There is a large hole where the pier was, seen a few trailers damaged.

Hubbard ramps suck. Dalrock north is closed but if maintained it could be a good ramp. Dalrock east and west have no where to beach a boat so hard to use when alone, same with JPJ, Heath is narrow and dock is built for a 2-3 higher lake level, & Rockwall is good for early spring fishing otherwise it too far from the fishing holes. Looks like time to buy an annual marina pass.

That was the deal TPWD made with the TRWD on Eagle Mountain but it didn't end up with a ramp.
