Is it worth going and checking out the weigh in and the booths but the drive is 2 hours there and back?

Depends on you. To me, no. To someone that wants to be up close to the pros and see the weigh in excitement amd hear the live bands playing, it might be worth an 8 hour drive. It is a huge event for sure. Biggest event at Fork all year.

If you like the bands that are playing and your a fan of pro fishing then YES!
If your not a fan of the bands playing and your just sort of a pro fishing fan then probably not.

If your not a fan of the bands playing and your just sort of a pro fishing fan then probably not. I was thinking this

I drive two hours to the lake nearly every weekend, but I also fish when I am there.

I enjoy catching up with old friends and just enjoying the atmosphere a bit as well. Its all what you want to make of it. Good folks, good music, cold beer and talking fishing. Not a bad time at all.
