I'm new to the Mckinney area and I'm looking for some good spots to bank fish... Unless someone wants to give me a nice Ranger boat as a welcome gift haha. Any thing would be helpful.

Read the Community Lakes thread on this forum. There are hundreds of pages of fishing reports about bank fishing in Collin County. I live in McKinney but mainly fish in Allen. As far as McKinney goes, check out Town Lake just south of McKinney High School.

Well if you live in the Stonebridge area you have all those lakes in there for you to access. Then you have Towne Lake, Prosper Towne Lake as well as the little ponds in Frisco, Warren Park and Frisco Commons.

Welcome and I too am in McKinney. Been here two years now and still learning my way around.

Check out where 380 crosses Lake Lavon. Since the lake filled back up that should be a good place to try bank fishing.
Town Lake Recreation center might hold some fish. At least I saw a lot of people wetting a line there.
You are not all that far from Lake Texoma. Check it out.

I'd go to caddo park off lavon just 10-15 mins from Mckinney

Go east down 380. Take the first left after crossing the bridges over the lake. Park near the ramp and about 150-200 yards in front of the boat ramp is the creek channel. At least thats where I believe it is, been a while since ive been fishing there.

FYI Caddo park on Lavon has been closed for at least 3 years and I don't know if they even plan to reopen it.
Here is a list of park closures due to flooding conditions.
