 I Found Me Some Sunnies and Bass Today

Hit one of my Las Colinas honey holes for big sunfish and decent bass, and frankly, when I got there was sorta disappointed. Water was chocolate milk color, and this is usually a crystal clear pond with a lot of hydrilla. Makes for big sunfish and even bigger bass. But I was there, so why not wet a line. Well sir, between 2 pm and 3:30, I caught probably fifty or so longear sunfish, green sunfish, hybrid greenies, black basss, two of them pretty decent, and even a bullhead! All on red/chartreuse tube jigs with an UNPAINTED jig head. Kept 20 or so nice greens and hybrid greenies, and two respectable black bass. Not bad for an hour and a half of fishing.  The greenies were bedding and the bass were cruising looking for easy meals of either the greenies or the eggs. Good Times! Rudy

It was a very pleasant surprise to skip around the forums and see that you went fishing and came back with a stringer full and a fishing report.

Nice haul. Those big greens, doubt many bass can fit them down, probably take a 5lber

Yessir, thats a honey hole for sure!!! Nice catch  Wish I could find a small pond where the sunfish are bedding around the duncanville, cedar hill, arlington, or grand prairie area!
Katchin krappie...doin surgeries(filleting)...and givin hott grease baths until krunchy and golden brown is what it's all about!!!

Caught about 30 more this morning, again a mixed bag of longear, greenies, and black bass. Today was CPR only. Film at 11!
