Question-

Do I have to use SeaStar hydraulic steering fluid in my boat (it is a SeaStar kit) or will universal Hydraulic steering fluid work? Also, do I fill the reservoir at the steering wheel? ('03 Champion). Thanks, this is the first time I have had to work on this system since I have owned the boat, not too familiar with it.

you might call some of the marinas around you but it is easily gotten off the net. take a few days to get it though.

We carry the alternate brand by MarPac. It is about $4.00 cheaper than the Sea Star fluid.

Go to your local small airport and buy a gallon of MIL-H-5606. This is a suitable substitute per SeaStar.
