No way. Too much lake traffic on holiday weekends and too many of them are inexperienced. Be safe.

Weather forecast for the lake I will be fishing should keep the play boats away. Besides, I can get away from them and fish. Would rather be on the lake fishing with the "amateur's" compared to a big tournament weekend on a lake full of experienced sticks....

Hoping the rain keeps the wake makers at home.

I will get to the lake at the crack of dawn. Fish the main lake throughout the morning. When the skiers come out to play I'm gonna head up a creek and fish the rest of the day. Could be a comedy show or two at the boat ramp as well, although I would feel obligated to help if it was a bad situation lol. Last year we towed an old ski/cruise (don't really know what it was) boat a short distance back to shore when their inboard died. Boat was a 70s model and hadn't run in well over 10 years. Surprised it even got them out on the lake. Be safe everyone. Lots of idiots out there this weekend. Good luck and tight lines!
