I'm assuming the only ramp open will be at the Marina? I'd love to hit the lake this weekend!

Roberts used to be such a nice peaceful place to fish before it became THE tournament destination! Bring back the slot I say so everyone will go somewhere else!! Go to Grapevine, the high water ramp is open and it is such a nice lake!

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Marina is only allowing only those (guides) who make their living by using the lake, and those who have rented slips to use their ramp. It is closed until further notice for everyone else. Right now there is 6 feet of water on top of the fishing pier at Isle Du Bois State Park. Releasing only enough to keep lake at current level. Time to make road trips west from here to get on a lake or maybe east to Fork or Monticello. There is no place for all this extra water to go now except into people's homes.

I just called the Marina and was told they are not aware of any sign out there stating that it will open on the 27th? I didn't catch a name but the guy told me he was second in charge over there and he also said the ramp WILL NOT BE OPEN this weekend bang

THE tournament destination??? Been to Fork lately? Only lakes that host more tournaments than Fork are Rayburn and the Bend. Neither of them have a slot, but Fork does so I'm not sure how bringing the slot back to Ray Bob would discourage tournaments.

I know, after fishing the lake since 93 I am just selfish and not really a tournament guy. grin

I am however so happy we have so many public places to fish and enjoy our sport and thrilled most of them have water now! Roberts will be awesome as soon as it clears a bit and especially if you have a kayak or other small boat and can get out before the ramps open back up. I was out the day before it closed and there is a ton of new cover to fish and the bait had already started to use it.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

I know there are lakes with more however the amount of tournaments and the traffic on the lake went up drastically after they took away first the 18" minimum and then the slot. It is a public lake and it is awesome and it is there to use and I don't fault anybody for wanting to fish it. Mostly I was bored at work and just having a little fun making a wise crack!
