I'm looking to get this from bass pro and was wondering if any of you have one, or have any comments on it.

I got one a few months ago. It was/is my first kayak, and I have nothing but good things to say about it. For the cost, it has many features. The cargo box is in the perfect spot for easy access while fishing, its stable, decent speed, and has many options for rigging it. The seat is great, and it keep me from getting my twerker wet. I can stand on it, but that has everything to do with coordination, and not much to do with the kayak. I have yet to come close to flipping it while seated. Be sure to seal the scupper hole seams with something though. Although it didn't happen to me, a lot of people report that water leaks in from around that area. I also sealed the hatches with some waterproof silicone. I don't use a crate yet, but there is plenty of room in the back for one, or even a cooler.

All in all I am happy with it, and will recommend it to anyone as a starter kayak. But I will be upgrading in a couple of years to a Slayer propel 13.

I will second what Rhino says but the Ascend is my second yak, I started last year with a pescador 12 and then graduated to the Ascend a few months ago. So far the only complaint i have is the lack of internal hull access for any rigging from the seat on back. but nothing has broken off yet so that is really a minor gripe. honestly it's a little slower than my pescador but it is more stable and i will take that trade off all day long. A really solid yak and a great starter yak for the price.

Great kayak. I love mine. I especially love it for the price. The only issue for me is in hull storage, but there is plenty up top.

Hopefully it's a good pickup! Just got mine two days ago, ready to get it out, but will need to tweak my trailer wiring harness. I went on the recommendation of a friend of mine in Kentucky - his chief complaint is the speed, but for the price - he had nothing but good to say about them. Since it'll be my first time I'm going to start slow in LLELA so I don't have to worry about too much traffic, and absolutely zero boats.
