The canals around the Cowboys practice facility can produce just stalk the banks and look for fish feeding in the margins

All those canals hold carp just have to walk and find them - I have also caught them off the cement wall across from the highschool

Sage advice. Carp stalking generally requires covering a lot of ground and looking for the signs of active fish. Look for tails, bubbles and silt clouds. If you spot something, be patient and be prepared to wait awhile watching for signs. Covering several miles of shoreline with multiple stops watching a stretch of bank for 3-5 minutes is pretty typical for me. It's pretty rare that I can't get shots at a number of fish. You'll be surprised how many carp you see when you are patient and looking for them, they are indeeed all over.

I tried out the canals and they were too murky. I was there for about 2 hours and saw no signs of fish except for some minnows being chased and some fish that jumped out of the water, I have no idea what it was but it had a red belly.

Denton Creek is catching serious flooding from Grapevine right now, that brings in some monsters, but you will have to wait for the water to clear, between denton tap and macarthur blvd there is a lot of access along the levy, east of Macarthur as well, you get a ton of access at the Vista ridge softball facility

Oh yeah, everything is blown out right now. Give it a week or two at least. Don't worry though, carp (and gar) on fly really takes off when the temps
hit the 90's
