Looking to purchase my 10 year old son his own kayak. Been fishing out of Jackson Big Tuna but really anxious to paddle his own. Have been considering Tarpon 100.

Any input or recommendations would be appreciated.
I fish out of a Tarpon 120. Fishing mainly small rivers, lakes and flats/marshes.
Sold the Big Tuna to purchase his kayak.

If he can paddle your Tarpon, the Pescador 12 would work or look at the 10 footer at Acadamy I think they are both going fairly cheap right now.

My wife as a tarpon 100 and loves it.

Ive even had friends (250 lb friends) take our tarpon 100 out on texoma, and they did fine. its a cool little boat.

BPS Ascend 10', you have the option to purchase the "lawn chair" style seat.

Can't beat the BPS kayaks for the price point - I've fished a # of times w/ a friend who is pleased with his 12' Ascend.

Or spoil him with the Jackson Cruise !!!

Would the Ride 115 be a solid consideration?

Yes, but it could be a bit wide for him at that age depending on his height.
