This past week on the big pond has had it's challenges but most days have been good, other than Saturday when we almost got skunked. I'll be fishing those guys again soon. Everyday has been bringing new challenges as the mud line is moving and the fish are never in the same place. My walkway is underwater and I've been having to row a small boat to get to the big boat. I am using a small generator for my lights and my knife , and the water is also off so it's definitely a challenge but the last time the lake was this high the fishing was awesome. Much less boat traffic out there to deal with but you have to be careful and make sure your not on the water in the dark so you don't tear something up on debris. The lake is open and we are all still fishing and I think it's only gonna improve. I'm using a rigs and catching is good. It's getting harder to find open ramps but if your boat is already on the water your set and less traffic is always nice but be careful if you decide to venture out. It was another great week on Lake Texoma.
Jack Chang and his group fished with me today. It was a great dY on the water with these guys from TFF. We boated around 55 fish and cleaned 46.
My buddy Toby Schnitker and his group had a good day too.
Paul Lewis and his family enjoyed a stellar morning of fishing with me before the storms ran us off the water.
Bob Wright and his group had a four man limit by. 9:30.
Mike Lock and his group.
Nice Texoma sunrise.
Be careful out there. These are easy to see but there are some that aren't as easy to detect. Be careful out there and slow down.
