I'm sure the storm system we had come through over the weekend didn't help any water clarity issues but I'm wondering if anyone has tried to fish either of these lakes and have had any success at all in the past week or so?
Eagle Mountain had been somewhat clear near the dam but has since turned completely into soup. Im looking for anything else near by that is even semi-fishable.

Bridgeport on the south end is actually not too terribly muddy. I would say its more stained, it had about ten inch vis on Sunday. I fished amon carter then grabbed lunch and did some shoreline fishing at Bport. But I guess it depends on your definition of water clarity. Some people ten inch vis is a mudhole and to others its clear haha. But I had luck in the flooded grass and, since I was shoreline fishing, on the old grass lines i could reach with my spinnerbait. No huge fish but decent numbers. Not sure how the upper ends of the lake are doing tho as far as clarity and fishability.

I fished Mineral Wells twice this weekend and not a bite either time. I've only caught one fish there since the water turned muddy and I've threw just about everything in my tacklebox at them. I dont think I've ever seen it this tough there before and I fish it regularly!

You never want a drink of water till the well runs dry
