I want to know how you guys get a dd22 down to 18ft, I have about everyone they make including the HD models and even on 10lb line I'm lucky to hit bottom in 12-15ft.

SEBILE Koolie Minnow LL Long Lip 20'+ and does not have near the drag. I have a bunch of deep divers but nothing as easy as these.
Life is one big playground. Be sure to ride all the rides before it closes.

The technique is called LONG LINING. Cast, then use your trolling motor to get all the line off your reel. It helps if you have a BIG capacity reel, like the Shimano Curado 300. Try it sometimes, you will be amazed at how deep you can get a bait. With the Curado 300, some baits go as deep as 40'. LOTS OF WORK, don't get me wrong, but it gets the baits down deep. Hope this helps. Nope, I use McCoys Mean Green for all moving baits and my jig/T-rig rods.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

I fished with Keith back in July and I will tell you that the method with make your arms burn. Not to mention that you will catch a lot of other so called bass before you find the one black running with them. You could limit out on white bass for the freezer looking for the one largemouth.
